The Lazy Girl's Guide to Straight Hair

The Lazy Girl's Guide to Straight Hair

Product Review: Dafni

Let’s be honest, to say I’m not a beauty blogger would be the understatement of the year.

In fact, it was only recently that I discovered what “primer” was and why were supposed to slap it on before the foundation. (Look, if you ask me, that’s a lot of liquid going onto my face and I just don’t have the time…)

So when I started seeing the Dafni pop up on social media and on the TV I thought “Finally! Someone has heard my lazy girl prayers!”

A brush that straightens your hair AT THE SAME TIME, thus excluding the need to crack out the hair straightener? Shut up and take my money!

Available exclusively through Shaver Shop, Dafni is the original straightening ceramic brush that straightens hair in only minutes and works by simply brushing through the hair.

It’s currently available in 3 models (perfect for Christmas presents), the Dafni Original, the Dafni GO (travel version….ideal for those of us who struggle to stay under our baggage allowance) and the Dafni Limited edition which is the one I picked- basically because it looked the prettiest and comes with a stand so I don’t keep burning my carpet.

In case you haven’t caught on already, I’m a super, super low maintenance kinda gal. That being said, my hair is at this awkward in-between length whereby if I don’t either straighten or curl it, it kind of just hangs there like a limp-looking mullet.

With the Dafni I simply hopped out of the shower (step 1), blasted my hair quickly with a blow-dryer (step 2) and then brushed it out with the Dafni till it was nice and straight (step 3).

Full disclosure, I’ve got pretty straight hair naturally but what I LOVED about the Dafni was that it straightened my hair without eliminating the body or ironing it flat like other hair straightener’s do. It almost looked like I’d just gotten a fresh blow dry, rather than stuck my head under an iron.

For us lucky ducks with thick hair, it’s a little time consuming as you have to go over the hair a couple of times but to say it cut my already non-existent beauty routine in half would be yet again, an understatement.

All up, 4 out of 5 stars!
